Philosophy
My work explores the tension between presence and absence, structure and fluidity. Each piece is designed to exist in dialogue with the body, creating new forms that emerge only in motion.
I believe fashion should question rather than answer, disturb rather than comfort. The most profound elegance lies in restraint—in what is left unsaid, unshown, undefined.
"Fashion is not about covering the body. It is about revealing the soul."
— Yuki Tanaka
Process
Each collection begins with months of meditation on a single concept, often inspired by traditional Japanese philosophy.
Fabrics are selected and often custom-developed to achieve specific qualities of weight, movement, and light interaction.
Every piece is built by hand in our Tokyo atelier, using techniques passed down through generations of artisans.
The Atelier
Nestled in the quiet streets of Daikanyama, our atelier is a sanctuary of creation. Here, tradition meets innovation under natural light filtered through shoji screens, where every stitch carries the weight of intention.
